This is the Pipe Band CD recording you’ve been waiting for…… the first CD by your host of the Capital District Scottish Games, the Schenectady Pipe Band.The Band has been performing for over 90 years throughout the Capital Region, and has won many awards for piping and drumming excellence, including Eastern United States Pipe Band Association (EUSPBA) Championships in Grades 2, 3, and 4, along with the North American Grade 4 Championship in 2002. The performance on this CD was recorded live at Proctors GE Theater in November 2009, just after the Band was announced as the over-all winner of the EUSPBA Grade 4 contests last year. You’ll hear many of your favorite pipe tunes, and some you may be hearing for the first time, such as our signature Shennendoah, and the beautiful Grant Us Peace. We hope you’ll enjoy this music as much as we enjoyed recording it for you.
